Charlotte, NC Home Prices Appear to be Leveling and what this means for Dilworth, NC Real Estate. Charlotte, NC home prices have remained steady in recent months. The average sales price even increased in the month of February; a much needed bit of positive news in what has been a somewhat negative market. The recent steadiness can be attributed somewhat to the new tax credits as well as historically low interest rates. February revealed modest improvement in several national housing indicators when compared to January. The current average sales price in Mecklenburg county is $198,152; which is up compared to January despite the region showing a decline. Those buyers waiting for further declines have begun moving forward with their purchases realizing that more price declines may not be coming. The Dilworth area home prices have remained steady over the past few months and have not seen as much of a decline in prices as other areas of Charlotte, NC. This is partially due to the still overwhelming desire to live in the historic Dilworth community, the location and proximity to center city, as well as the deep rooted history that does make Dilworth so distinct.
